IIM Sambalpur invites applications for the position of Infrastructure Consultant
IIM Sambalpur seeks to engage an experienced and qualified individual consultant who would drive and manage the renovation of its temporary campus and same time initiate the process of designing and building permanent campus on fast track.
Mode of Appointment: On contract for one/two year, extendable based on performance and requirement.
Salary: as per qualifications and experience
Qualification: Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution, with additional qualification/experience of handling civil and electrical work. Good academic record and communication skills. Good working knowledge of computer operations and engineering software applications is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Government with at least 5 years at Sr. Engineer or higher grade handling responsibilities as Project Manager. Applicants should have experience in handling large civil projects with commensurate electrical work. Applicants with an experience of handling at least one national level government higher educational institutions will be given preference, further in case an applicant has prior experience of managing building an IIM will be most desirable. Candidate must have worked in government/PSU/Autonomous Institution so as to have understanding and experience of government procurement and financial accounting process.
Age: Preferably below 58 years. If retired, upper limit can be up to 60 years.
Functions: Handling civil infra projects (with electrical component) of the Institute. Assisting Director/ CAO on conception, design and management of civil projects and associated electrical work, handling civil and electrical maintenance work, Project architect and construction agencies of the Temporary/ New Campus Development, supervision of project-related work as per CPWD guidelines, verification of bills submitted by contractors, works related to maintenance of existing buildings occupied by the Institute including hostels and residences, and other related work assigned. The Consultant will be required to work out of IIM Sambalpur premises for a period of 10 working days in a month as the role is on part time/consultancy basis and another 5 days offsite.
