Academic Profile
Dr. Arup Kumar Das is a Professor of Practice in the area of Information Systems Management at IIM Sambalpur Delhi Centre. He comes with a rich industry experience in Information Technology and worked in various functions - Consulting, Pre-Sales, Business Development, Project Delivery, and Business Operations, serving more than 30 customer projects worldwide, for close to four decades. His key skills are centred around setting up organizational units from scratch like Cyber Security & Compliance Practice (Ericsson India); Offshore Development Centre for a Tier-1 Telecom organization in the US (Ericsson India); and Global Telecom Centre of Excellence (IBM India). He has delivered complex IT Transformation Project with team size of 300+ people and as well as complex embedded System Software Projects to customers.
He is a Graduate in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata (Gold Medallist); Post Graduate Diploma (MBA) from XLRI, Jamshedpur and holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Management, Information Systems from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram. His area of specialization is Information Systems - Strategic Outsourcing and Value Creation.

Dr. Das has undergone several Information Technology Trainings in his career. He holds a certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management for successfully completing a training on Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders.
During his professional career, he was worked on several consultancy assignments with Telecom customers world-wide, involving Business Process Re-engineering, Cyber Security, and Digital Transformation.
